Tuckernuck

Hey everyone, I hope all of your finals/May crazies/early summer festivities are going well!

I've posted before about Uscoop, the college lifestyle brand I intern for... Any-who, we have very exciting news. Just yesterday, Uscoop launched Tuckernuck - a boutique that captures a young twist on classic, preppy American style.

Tuckernuck features 20+ up-and-coming as well as classic favorite brands such as Bhati Beads, Charles Philip (the cutest loafers I've ever laid eyes on), Gretchen Scott, Salmon Cove, Rowen, Tucker Blair, the list just goes on and on. The site is so much more than just a shopping locale, though. There are designer profiles, Q&A with the models (real college students, of course), and an interactive lookbook featuring Tuckernuck ensembles.

My picks:
Gretchen Scott Shift, Two Bees Cashmere Lobster Sweater, Skinnyjeans Red Jeans
Collard Greens Bow Tie, Strong Boalt Trunks, Tucker Blair Belt
Harding-Lane Needlepoint Hat, Loren Hope Link Bracelet, Boulevard Monogrammed Bag

Check the site out ASAP so that you can get 20% off. Use the code TNUCKVIP at checkout and happy shopping!

Vogue

This past weekend I had the opportunity to model a friend's designs in the Cornell Fashion Collective annual fashion show, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. When she asked me to be her model earlier this year I was unaware of what a big deal the show was, and looking back I'm so honored that she asked me. The show has been a Cornell tradition for almost 30 years and always attracts a huge crowd.

Saturday came after months of fittings and a couple days of perfecting my stone-cold stare (if you could call it that...). Marianne created this amazing Calvin Klein meets the Hunger Games look, fully lined and impeccably finished, topped off with a full-blown mohawk. Her hours and hours of work were absolutely worth it in the end. The look was definitely a show stopper!

8Tracks

I am a total sucker for social media of any sort. I've got an entire folder on my bookmarks bar dedicated to it. Blogger? Check. Twitter? Check. Tumblr? Check. Facebook? Check. Instagram? Check. Polyvore? Check.

At the moment I'm absolutely crazy about 8tracks. Yesterday a friend introduced it to me and I've been surfing it ever since. Its similar to Spotify, but you don't have to download the application - PLUS everyone on Facebook can't see what you've been listening to (is it just me, or do always forget about this until you're caught red-handed listening to J. Biebs?). You don't have to be a user to listen and its super easy to stumble upon great, unique music.

Right now I'm listening to "nostalgia" "summer" and "country" playlists... Ha. Can you tell I'm completely swamped with school?

On another note, it snowed on Monday. Who knew it was possible for it to be 80 degrees and 30 degrees in the same week?!

Spring Hasn't Sprung (Yet!)

Coming back to Ithaca after spring break was rough. I stepped off the plane in sandals and a t-shirt and was greeted by a 30 degree Ithaca gust. It was a (not so) warm welcome home for sure.

I'm now stuck in limbo between summer and winter wear. I brought back all my spring break duds and was super excited to break out a pair of pink oxford shorts I picked up in Savannah... The weather, however, just isn't on my side. So, I pieced together an outfit that looks like spring, but still won't leave me shivering in upstate New York's eternal winter.

I want to wear pastel chino shorts... Cold-weather solution: candy-colored denim

*Side-note: I am LOVING colored jeans right now and Uscoop has a great deal on them for one more day!
Sign-up Here if you haven't already! : )

I want to wear Jack Roger Navajos... Cold-weather solution: Jack Roger flats

I want to wear a Columbia PFG ... Cold-weather solution: A colorful anorak (it really is a similar look!)

Business in the front...

So I'm not much of a skirt person (unless its corduroy or tweed..) but I have noticed these hi-low hemmed skirts and dresses popping up everywhere. They're super funky and probably hard to pull off - but who can't resist a little quirk in their wardrobe?Along with other 80's revival items (neon, lipstick, the Footloose remake) I'm personally for the mullet skirt... Even though I most likely won't be indulging in the trend myself. What are your thoughts?

Last week I saw Cameron Diaz at Fred Segal...

Well, no offense to Elle, but orange (& pink) are seriously having a moment right now. Orange and magenta color-blocked accessories are all over the place this spring season. I'm crazy about the trend: its bold and bright, but not too obnoxious. Not to mention, its very wearable come warmer weather.

Here are my picks!

What do ya'll think of the trend?

Sweet Sunshine

The other day my little sister texted me saying that she'd let me "borrow [her] brand new gingham J. Crew bikini... if [I'm] lucky." Well, until I received that text I didn't realize how soon Spring Break really is. I've got quite the travel schedule this year; I'll be in Savannah, Hilton Head, St. Augustine and Charlottesville. Really looking forward to seeing my family and basking in the sun - one of my all-time favorite activities with my all-time favorite people.

So, here's the countdown: 1 prelim, 5 papers, 2 (mini) projects, 1 photo shoot, and 1 speech.

And after I finish all that... SWEET FREEDOM!

What are all of your Spring Break plans?
